Big Fat Yes is a card game for two. This page explains what the app and this website collect, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: we collect what the game needs to work and to get better. No ads, and we never sell your data.
What the app collects
- An anonymous player ID. When you open the app, it signs you in without an email, a password or a phone number.
- The name you type. Your display name is shown to your partner in the game.
- Your game. For games on two phones: rounds, the cards you play, how they are answered (Done, Big Fat No, forgiveness), thank-you stickers and kind words. We store these so both phones show the same game. Games on one phone are saved on that phone.
- Messages you send us. Bug reports and ideas you send from the app, with the app version and the type of device.
- Usage data. Events about how the app is used, such as which screens are opened, when a card is played or answered, and how a round ends, plus the app version, the type of device and its operating system. They are tied to your anonymous player ID, never to your name, and never include card text or anything you type. Our analytics service also sees your IP address and uses it to estimate a rough location, such as your country and city.
What we don't do
- No ads, and no selling or renting your data.
- No tracking you across other companies' apps or websites.
- No access to your contacts, photos, location or microphone.
Who helps us run it
- Supabase stores the data for games on two phones (servers in the United States).
- PostHog stores the usage data (United States).
- Apple runs TestFlight. If you send feedback or a crash report through TestFlight, Apple shares it with us.
- Cloudflare hosts this website.
They process data only to provide their service to us.
This website
This website has no ads and no analytics, and we don't set cookies. Cloudflare, our host, processes basic request data, like your IP address and browser, to deliver the pages and keep them secure. If you email us, we use your email address only to answer you and, if you asked for one, to send your beta invite.
How long we keep it
Game data and the messages you send us are kept while you use the app, and deleted when you ask. Usage data is kept for up to one year.
Deleting your data
Email hello@bigfatyes.com and we'll delete your game data, your messages and your usage data within 30 days. A "Delete my data" button is coming to the app. Removing the app deletes everything it saved on your phone.
Children
Big Fat Yes is made for adults and is not meant for children. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
